Poison the Well

The current hardcore scene wouldn't be what it is today without Miami metalcore act Poison The Well. They pretty much invented the "screamo /metalcore" genre.

Their first two full lengths "The Opposite of December" and "Tear From The Red" are the albums that changed the game, not only for the players but also for the fans. Both albums went on to sell over 80,000 (160,000 combined) a feat that in 1999 was close to impossible for an experimental hardcore band.
