Built as part of a pair with the adjacent St Martins theatre, it has hosted a variety of world class shows and productions, musicals, plays, comedy, dance, and premiers. In 1952, Agatha Christie’s thriller The Mousetrap famously made its world premiere at The Ambassadors Theatre and ran there for 21 years, before moving next door to St. Martins. The Ambassadors has always attracted the biggest names, including theatre royalty Sonia Friedman who was producer for 3 years.
