What's On at the Phoenix Theatre, London

Located in the heart of the West End, The Phoenix Theatre opened in 1930 with the premiere of Noel Coward’s Private Lives, starring Noel Coward himself! With a neoclassical exterior and a distinguished Italian style interior, The Phoenix is a Grade II listed Theatre with a seating capacity of 1028 making it a welcome theatre for the world’s best productions.

The Phoenix has hosted the works of outstanding practitioners including Noel Coward, John Gielgud, Stephen Sondheim and Stehen Schwartz. It has also seen the worlds biggest stars perform, including Julia McKenzie, Laurence Olivier, and Cuba Gooding Jnr. World class productions include Come From Away, A Streetcar Named Desire, and the long running Blood Brothers.

The Phoenix Theatre continues to offer critically acclaimed productions, shows, plays, musicals, plays, comedies, and events. The Phoenix is currently home to the Olivier Award Winning show Stranger Things: The First Shadow, where it made its London premiere in 2023. If you would like to buy a ticket in person from The Phoenix Theatre Box Office, opening hours are Mon - Sat 10am - 7.30pm.

To purchase same day tickets in person, you can do so up to 60 minutes prior to the performance commencing that day.
