The Adelphi Theatre is part of LW Theatre, co-owned with Nederlander Theatres. And originally opened in 1806. The current venue is the 4th version of the venue and has had 7 different names! The Adelphi is presently home to Back To The Future The Musical.
Throughout its history, The Adelphi has hosted pantomimes, melodramas, farces, comedic operas, plays and musicals, and back in 1955 it almost became a Woolworths shop! In more recent years it has hosted huge ALW shows such as Sunset Boulevard, Evita, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and premiered Love Never Dies.
The Adelphi Theatre has had hit show after hit show, such as Chicago, One Man Two Guvnors, Sweeney Todd, Kinky Boots, Waitress, and the world premiere of The Bodyguard.
