What's On at the Prince Edward Theatre, London

Prince Edward Theatre is currently home to MJ, the Tony Award winning musical based around Michael Jackson’s 1992 ‘Dangerous World Tour.’ Part of the Delfont Mackintosh Theatre Group, Prince Edward Theatre has a seating capacity of 1727.

The Prince Edward Theatre opened in 1930 but was converted to the Queensbury All Service Club in 1942 for the remainder of the war, and broadcast the Variety Band Box to British Forces stationed overseas. It became The Prince Edward again in 1946.

Known for pantomimes, musicals, plays, dance and comedy, the Prince Edward Theatre has welcomed international artists, been a cinema, and even had a giant swimming pool on stage! It premiered the first ever stage version of PL Travers Mary Poppins, which ran for over 1000 performances. The Prince Edward Theatre is a participating theatre in the Q-Park Theatreland parking scheme where you can get 50% off car parking after midday for 4 hours.

There is also an NCP on Brewer Street nearby.

If you would like to buy a ticket in person from the Prince Edward Theatre Box Office, they are open from 2 hours 30 minutes before the start of the show, and until 15 minutes after curtain up.  The box office remains open between shows on matinee days.

Delfont Mackintosh Theatre's central box office for all 8 theatres is at the Sondheim Theatre, Shaftsbury Ave, and is open Monday - Friday noon - 6pm.
