Soda Blonde

Soda Blonde
Dublin?s own Soda Blonde are set to bring their electrifying live show back to their hometown with a headline performance at Vicar St on December 7th. This highly anticipated concert will cap off a remarkable year for the band, following the success of their critically acclaimed second studio album, Dream Big. In addition to the Dublin date, Soda Blonde has just announced three UK shows leading up to Vicar St: London on December 3rd, Leeds on December 4th, and Glasgow on December 5th. These performances offer fans in the UK a chance to experience the band live before their grand finale in Dublin. Since their formation in 2019, Soda Blonde?comprised of Faye O?Rourke (vocals), Adam O?Regan (guitar), Dylan Lynch (drums), and Donagh Seaver-O?Leary (bass)?has carved out a distinct space in the music world with their self-produced sound, introspective lyrics, and arresting visuals. Their sophomore album Dream Big has not only solidified their reputation but also propelled them into new creative territories. The album, a bold statement of intent, has resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, earning nominations for Album of the Yearand Song of the Year (?Bad Machine?) at the Choice Music Prize. The band?s journey in 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. January saw them embark on their first sold-out EU tour, a milestone that showcased their growing international appeal. In March, Soda Blonde made headlines by withdrawing from their scheduled performance at SXSW, taking a principled stand against the festival?s association with the U.S. military. This decision was a catalyst for the creation of the visually striking and thought-provoking music video for ?Why Die For Danzig,? which offers a biting commentary on society?s complicity in the war machine. However, the true highlight of the year came in July, when Soda Blonde performed a monumental sold-out show at Dublin?s National Concert Hall. Teaming up with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, the band presented orchestral arrangements of Dream Big, blending the cinematic grandeur of a full orchestra with their signature sound. The evening was recorded and will soon be released as both a concert film and a live album, allowing fans to relive this unforgettable experience.
