What's On at the Wyndham's Theatre, London

Wyndham's Theatre, named after its owner Charles Wyndham, opened in 1899 and in 1910 Gerald du Maurier became actor-manager for over a decade. It was here that Joan Littlewoods Theatre Workshop productions were first performed, including Shelagh Delaney’s ‘A Taste Of Honey’ and her own ‘Oh What A Lovely War.’

Part of the Delfont Mackintosh Theatre Group since 2005, Wyndham's Theatre has a seating capacity of 799 seats. In 1976 Cameron Mackintosh received his first international hit here with ‘Side By Side By Sondheim’ and introduced Sondheim’s work to a larger British audience.

With many shows premiering at Wyndham's such as Arthur Miller’s ‘The Ride Down Mt. Morgan’ and Edward Albee’s ‘Three Tall Women, it has a rich history of plays, variety, musicals, comedies and dance attracting huge stars and creatives such as Sondheim, Jude Law, Dame Judi Dench, Kenneth Branagh, James Earl Jones, Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Wyndham's Theatre is a participating theatre in the Q-Park Theatreland parking scheme where you can get 50% off car parking after midday for 4 hours.

If you would like to buy a ticket in person from Wyndham's Theatre Box Office, they are open from 2 hours 30 minutes before the start of the show, and until 15 minutes after curtain up.  The box office remains open between shows on matinee days.

Delfont Mackintosh Theatre's central box office for all 8 theatres is at the Sondheim Theatre, Shaftsbury Ave, and is open Monday - Friday noon - 6pm.

No.  Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, including Wyndham's, do not permit food or drink purchased elsewhere to be taken into their theatres.

All of their theatre bars serve drinks and snacks (no hot food).

Latecomers will only be admitted at a suitable break in the performance.
