The Duke Of York Theatre is a historical Grade II listed building, which was formally known as The Trafalgar Square Theatre upon its opening in 1892. 1895 saw it change its name to The Duke Of York Theatre to honour the future King George V.
With a seating capacity of 640 seats, it has hosted countless acclaimed productions and shows, musicals, plays, comedy, dance, and premieres, including J. M Barrie’s Peter Pan. The Duke Of York Theatre is home to the producing offices of ATG Entertainment’s subsidiary, Sonia Friedman Productions.
An array of world class performers have tread the boards from a 14 year old Charlie Chaplin, to Glenda Jackson, Orlando Bloom, Michael Gambon, Jeremy Irons, Rupert Everett, Kit Harrington, Sir Ian McKellen, John Bishop, Lily Allen, and Tom Holland.
