What's On at the New Wimbledon Theatre, London

The New Wimbledon Theatre opened in 1910 and is the only theatre in Britain to have a Turkish bath in its basement with a design reflective of the Victorian era. The Grade II listed building has been home to some of the largest shows, productions, musicals, plays, pantomimes, and events.

With a seating capacity of 1670 across its three floors, it has seen many premieres, including Oliver and Half A Sixpence. Some of the biggest names in showbiz have performed at the New Wimbledon, including Gracie Fields, Ivor Novello, Noel Coward, and Robin Williams, the later at Prince Charles’ 60th birthday celebration event.

The New Wimbledon Theatre has performed over 100 pantomimes during its history. More recent panto stars include Alexandra Burke and Joe Pasquale. There are many theatre shows and productions to look forward to at The New Wimbledon, including & Juliet, Ghost The Musical, Cruel Intentions and Dear Evan Hansen. Bus stop - Sir Cyril Black Way, Wimbledon Bus Station, South Wimbledon.  The 57, 93, and 131 all stop outside the theatre and 163, 164, 200, 219, and 493 all stop 5-10mins walk away from the venue.
