Will Young

British pop royalty Will Young was the winner of the first ever Pop Idol in 2002, with the wide-smiled and bright-eyed Wokingham singer breaking records when his chart-topping double-single Evergreen / Anything Is Possible became the fastest selling debut single in UK chart history.

In a testament to his earnestness and talent, during the 22 years since, he has remained a cherished household name – now not only as a singer but as an actor, author and broadcaster.

As well as four UK no.1 albums and other chart-topping singles "Leave Right Now", "Light My Fire", and "The Long and Winding Road" (with Gareth Gates), he has returned to his roots with acting, featuring across film (Mrs. Henderson Presents), television (Skins), theatre (The Vortex at Manchester's Royal Exchange), West End (Cabaret), Strictly Come Dancing, The Masked Singer, hosting the podcast Homo Sapiens and writing his first book, How To Be A Gay Man, in which he explores his journey to coming out and proudly embracing his sexuality.
