Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by vocalist Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist-vocalist Blixa Bargeld.
They were formed after the break-up of the Birthday Party and have since become one of the most celebrated bands of the post-punk '80s era.
Their music combines the multi-layered narratives of Cave's lyrics with emotionally powerful sounds that create drama and a sense of foreboding.
While many musicians have moved in and out fo the Bad Seeds' line-up over the years, the band have remained a steady musical force over the last 36 years.
