iC1s

iC1s broke onto the scene in 2011 with the release of their debut single Levitate, recorded in a South London basement for £50 - but landing in the UK Top 200. Touted by Creation Records legend Alan Mcgee, championed by BBC 6s Steve Lamacq, NME's Mark Beaumont and signed by a Libertines Gary Powell - the band went on to share stages with the likes of DMAs, Carl Barat, The View, The Rifles, Revered & The Makers and many, many more. By 2014, the band were recording their debut album with Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys/Kasabian), headlining and selling out London's Scala and touring up and down the country. However, owing to the long-standing tradition of bands destroying themselves in a maelstrom of ego, arguments and bad management - the band fell apart in late 2014 before the album's release. To mark 10 years since the band’s dissolution, iC1s returned in October 2024 for a sold-out performance at The Camden Assembly. Summer 2025 sees the release of their long-overdue 'debut' album 'What Took You So Long?' recorded with longtime friend Michael Smith at RYP Studios. To mark the occasion, iC1s will headline Camden's famous Dingwalls on Saturday 8th November 2025 with support from good friends Heavyball.
