Cyndi Lauper

80's New York pop icon Cyndi Lauper embarks on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, her first major run in a decade.

Selling over 50 million records worldwide, her 1983 debut album "She's So Unusual" was the first by a female artist to achieve four top-five hits in the States - "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", and "All Through the Night".

Her success continued with the soundtrack for the 1985 motion picture The Goonies and her second record "True Colors" in  1986, which spawned the US number-one single "True Colors" and "Change of Heart", which peaked at number three Stateside.

She would score other hits in the UK with "I Drove All Night" in 1989, "The World Is Stone" in 1992 and the 1994 reggae-tinged remix of her biggest hit, "Hey Now (Girls Just Want to Have Fun)."
