Bahareque + Corina Piatti At Jamboree

Saturday night with the brilliant Latin American rhythms ensemble Bahareque at Jamboree! The band play traditional Latin music from Guantanamera to romantic Mexican ballads, Paraguayan polkas, Andean huaynos, Venezuelan joropos, Chilean cuecas, Colombian cumbias & much more. Among the traditional instruments that feature in their performances are guitar, pan-pipes ,quena, maracas, cuatro, bongos, Venezuelan & Paraguayan harps. The band have performed in Spain, France, Bulgaria (to a TV audience of over 8 million) and recently, in June 2023, put on a series of very well-received concerts in north-east Italy. Leonel Salinas: (Chile): Guitar, charango & vocals Colin Gordon: (UK): Venezuelan & Paraguayan Harps In support, Corina Piatti is an award-winning Argentinian artist presenting original compositions alongside tango, bossa nova, world and popular music. Corina has played concerts around Europe and Latin America, and occasionally performed alongside prestigious musicians like Victor Villena (Gotan Project) and bandoneon player Cholo Montironi. Her newest release, Luna, is the fifth one to follow after Confundido, Siesta, Candombe 2020 and Calma, all of them featuring original songs.
