Leee John (Imagination)
After emerging from the underground scene on the UK’s pirate jazz-funk and soul stations, Imagination, with their charismatic lead singer, Leee John, burst onto the scene in 1981, when their debut single "Body Talk" peaked at no.4 in the UK charts.
Throughout the 80s, the London soul band continued to enjoy chart success in the UK, Europe and the US, reaching no.2 with the much-sampled hit "Just an Illussion", and scoring Top 20 hits with "Music and Lights", "Flashback", and "In And Out Of Love" among others.
